Description
For all who desire tools for a deeper understanding of Scripture, the Crossway Classic Commentaries are excellent resources that have stood the test of time and still speak today. In this great work, John Calvin and Matthew Henry explore the apostle John's letters to Christianity's second generation. In them he carefully defines key terms of the faith, refutes Gnosticism and other heresies, outlines how the aspects of our belief in God should affect our actions, and urges love for one another. The commentators' classic insights, carefully abridged and stylistically adapted for today's reader, make these epistles especially clear for contemporary believers.
