I am really wowed by the ending.Who could see that coming? Before reading the last chapter,I was bored and put off about a certain things that sounded so fishy,but the ending made up for everything else for me!
This is a story I was always interested in but I was let down. Not in a bad way that the story was bad; but that I barely understood what was going on half the time. I found myself blacking out while I was reading some passages. I think the writing style is the main reason why rather it being the story.
I was drawn to this book by the cover. Murder mystery and a train? Two of my favorite things! I'm so thankful I found this book. It captured me from the first page and kept me on the edge of my seat, something that is hard to do with my wandering mind. Maybe it was just me, but it was difficult to suss out who was lying or being truthful, but it was fun to draw my own conclusions and see if I was right about who done it! The ending through me for a loop and I lost my mind!I recommend this book 100%! You won't regret reading it.
No matter my thoughts and feelings throughout, that ending really did it for me. What a delightful way to end that story!
this is my second time reading it. the first time was in 2019, i totally forgot about everything so i thought of reading it again, i remembered reading this in one sit. i remember how astonished I was when the case was solved, and the most bizarre thing I found while reading now was the clue was always there right in front of our eyes, we overlooked it, & at the end, how smartly it was unraveled. the story is very interesting, from the first page, i was hooked just like the first time, This time I tried to solve it myself too with all the clues, but still missed some part of it, like i said "overlooked" everyone should read this book once in a lifetime, no wait, more than once, and that is worth it !! if you ever feel the reading slump, this book will help you pick up the pace and starts reading books again
Despite my disappointment about having the ending spoiled, this still turned out to be typical Christie: utter perfection.
