Turns out my 1st grader loves these books. I devoured these as a kid and it is really fun to reread with him. Definitely not scary by adult standards (or maybe kid standards either because he thought it was hilarious). I laughed through explaining a house phone and why kids would be allowed to walk around a construction site (it was a different time ok?!). He thought the dummy's mean jokes were hysterical. "If we count your chins, will it tell us your age?" I promise I included a chat about not commenting on other people's bodies. I'm looking forward to rereading more Goosebumps books.
