I’m stranded on Mars.
I have no way to communicate with Earth.
I’m in a Habitat designed to last 31 days.
If the Oxygenator breaks down, I’ll suffocate. If the Water Reclaimer breaks down, I’ll die of thirst. If the Hab breaches, I’ll just kind of explode. If none of those things happen, I’ll eventually run out of food and starve to death.
So yeah. I’m screwed.

Good preliminary read before having to read it for school next semester.
Oh my god, this was such a good read! I was extremely annoyed at having to put it down in order to get some sleep...Fantastic edge of seat stuff. Loved every word
Best book of 2015 so far I loved it Mark Watney is hilarous
- enjoyable comedy and perspective- like the thorough scientific explanations- a tad convenient at points despite constant mishaps
Did not expect this to make me laugh! Science was wonderful"Problem is (follow me closely here, the science is pretty complicated), if I cut a hole in the Hab, the air won't stay inside anymore.""Once I got home, I sulked for a while. All my brilliant plans foiled by thermodynamics. Damn you, Entropy!”
do you like suvival stories??how about science-not-so-fiction?do you feel that you could do better at surviving than most movie astronauts? Then BOY do I have the book for you!Andy Weir definitely did his homework in this one, the way he described how perilous just attempting to grow a damn potato enthralled me.I'm gonna stop here while I'm ahead, I like to ramble and I end up spoiling everything.Read the damn book.Be amazed!Bye!
Had me grinning like a freakin' idiot the whole way through. Mark Watney is my new hero.
Unputdownable! Very exciting and tense in parts. My heart was racing near the end of the book.
