This was so so so good! I loved the entire storyline, very cute and a super quick read!
Wow! Definitely a favorite, just like the movie. Full review to be done
The first time I read this book I was in the seventh grade. I remember buying it at Target and sitting in class during my free time and reading the pages. Although, after rereading I realized I didn't remember much of what happened. The book felt shorter now that I'm older. It took me so long to get through it then, but now I've read it so quickly that I wish it could have taken me much longer. That's the funny thing about not being as young anymore. I can't wait to reread the rest of the series.
I was looking for a light read and this book was perfect for it
Four Stars! ( You can read it on my blog as well! mmm Like it enough to read the next one and watch the movie. lolI'm glad that I made the switch from audiobook to actually reading it cause I was so close to Dnfed. The narrator made me dislike LJ cause they made her sound annoying as hell. But me actually reading I started to like her and enjoy the story more. I wanted something light to read instead of reading heavy fantasy that I have been doing. It's a cute coming of age teenage story with a likeable character. I was LJ's age like 13 years ago so I understand what she was going through. I did like the chemistry between her and Peter . I truly love the fact that in the core of the story you had three sisters who loved each other and have each others back after losing their Mom. You have the oldest Magot who trying to be the strong one and be the mother figure but also want explore her own self. Of course you have LJ who always looked up to her oldest sister but felt like she was sort of in shadow. Also with her trying to live up to the " Sister Code" dealing with Josh. I think the whole letter thing was pretty interesting if you think about it in a like Psychology level. I mean she pretty much wrote everything she felt about that particular boy in over to get over them. The only thing I kind of felt like was gloss over was with Kitty. I felt like they should have had more a heartfelt moment like her and GoGo did. All and All it was a pretty cute story and I already started reading the second one.
Hmm, this one is a hard one to give a star rating to. Well, there are many things I really like, and I don't think there's anything I didn't like about it, it just didn't feel like a 5star, you know what I mean. Like I loved it, but it wasn't my absolute favourite. Well, I'll write the review and come back to the rating later. There are so many things I loved about the book. THE FOOD, gosh the food was amazing. Ah, I'm getting hungry only thinking about it. I couldn't resist buying real doughnuts after I finished it. In general, I loved the dynamic they had as a family. Although I did hate Margot's character, I still appreciated their relationship with their dad and their little sister. But I will get to the point. Look, yes it was a triangle, but it's a book from 2014 give it some space. I actually enjoyed it pretty much, and many times I found myself wondering about what would happen at the end. I knew there was no way she was getting with Josh from the start. I really liked their friendship, they were really good friends for each other. But I couldn't see them together, Margot is her sister, after all, and she couldn't just take her ex after 4 months of her being away. But I also didn't think she'd end up with Peter. Well, she didn't, not exactly. I cursed him so many times out loud tbh because he was genuinely nice to Lara Jean, but always ran after Gen. I hated him for that. Eh if only . I probably will read the second book by the end of the year though so, job well done!Well, tbh I really liked it, I loved it at times. It was a great book and I will definitely read (at least) the second one.
What. A. Ride!!!This book has the perfect combination of humor, romance, drama, and emotional moments between the characters. The way it made me question about some situations kept me on edge because I just didn't KNOW! Whenever I thought one thing the book would come back with another thing to bring that thought down and make me thing the other option. The writing fits the story and characters SO well and it flowed so nicely! I went through a lot while reading this book. I don't think I've related to a character more than Lara Jean Song. We share a lot more similarities than I thought. I constantly thought back to my high school years before I was preparing for college (I'm a sophomore at college as I'm writing this right now). I never got together with anyone, of course I had a few crushes here and there, but no one stuck nor asked me out to a date or to a dance or whatnot. It made me feel horrible about myself but not only was I determined to finish the book because it captivated me, but I learned something about myself. I learned that the past is only stepping stones to what's coming in the future. Cliche, I know, but I made notes in different parts cause there are quotes that'll stick out to you, especially if you relate to them closely. In my opinion, if I hadn't read this book, I don't think I would've learned different things about myself and I wouldn't of grown up as a person; I'm SO happy I finally chose to read THIS book!!I'm FOR SURE going to read this again in the future and I'm more than excited to read the next book!!! :D
wow i read that pretty quickly - i loved it!! definitely the sort of summer read i was hoping for, a nice contemporary. can't wait to read the next one!
