Remind me to never watch the movie based on the book while reading the book... I actually liked the book, but I just kind of spoiled it for myself because I watched the movie as well. The movie on the other hand was pretty bad. I liked the characters, especially Rose and how badass she is and witty. I also love Dimitri. I just want Dimitri and Rose to be together though!! It was entertaining, but I felt something was just lacking. I'm going to give book 2 a try because apparently everyone says it gets better. Overall, I give it 2.5 stars.

i loved it. i can;t remember what i thought of it the first time. this being the second time reading it. i just love Rose. i really love how she is with lissa. she will be an excellent guard for her.As this is just a YA book. i think it's pretty good. and in stark contrast of richelle meads succubus series. i just love how different they are.

I remember reading this as a teenager but never ended up finishing the series. I wanted to try again with this series since i loved zodiac academy and the movie to this book. However i found this vook very slow and nothing like zodica acedamy. I honestly wish i enjoyed it but dont think i will be continuing the series.
