Benedict e Sophie são os melhores, amei o fato do livro ser uma releitura de cinderela.
I fear Netflix Benedict and Book Benedict are not the same man.
This started off so strong. Give me a Cinderella retelling, a masquerade ball, yearning, and forbidden romance and I'm seated. Sophie was easily the best part of this book. Girl went through absolute hell and still managed to have more dignity and backbone than most people around her.
Unfortunately, Benedict spent a concerning amount of this book asking Sophie to be his mistress, refusing to take no for an answer, and acting shocked that she might want more for herself. Sir, please be serious.
The romance had moments that were genuinely sweet, especially the "it's always been you" aspect, but I never fully bought into their relationship because so much of it was Benedict trying to get his way. Violet Bridgerton honestly carried half this book on her back.
Overall, perfectly readable, occasionally charming, but nowhere near as romantic as it thought it was. Sophie deserved better for at least 75% of this story.
Primeira frase: Todo mundo sabia que Sophie Beckett era bastarda. Última frase: – Está na hora de algo novo – sussurrou. – Está na hora de finalmente ser eu mesma. Essa saga está se tornando uma das minhas favoritas, terceiro livro da saga e as histórias só melhoram, com certeza essa é a minha preferida até agora. A primeira parte é nitidamente uma referência a Cinderela, mas na parte dois as coisas mudam um pouquinho. Eu amei a história, amei os protagonistas, Benedict e Sophie são perfeitos e maravilhosos, são divertidos, cativantes, leves e brincalhões, amo as provocações de Benedict. Sophie apesar de tudo que passou nunca perdeu a alegria e a bondade, foi muito lindo ver ela com as meninas Bridgerton's. A Violet segue sendo a minha personagem favorita de toda a saga até agora, ela é uma mãe incrível, uma mulher, muito forte e determinada e nesse livro especificamente pudemos ver a leoa que ela se transforma quando se trata de defender seus filhos, foi muito cativante vê-la defendendo a Sophie e a Posy. Devorei o livro em poucos dias, e fiquei querendo mais sobre a história deles. Ansiosa pros próximos livros.
El mejor de los tres libros que he leído hasta ahora, como todos tiene detalles medio bobos como que Violet deje que Posy se quede a vivir en su casa, o la casualidad de que Benedict estuviera en la fiesta, en la misma casa que ella trabajaba, o que Arminta no la haya descubierto en 4 años etc, pero no son exagerados ni me molestan. Si bien el libro está bueno, me exaspera que la historia entre los protagonistas sea el mismo, que se odien pero se vean obligados a convivir por x razón y con el tiempo se enamoren, aunque en este caso tuvo un extra, que fue que se enamoraron primero en la fiesta de máscaras, pero es un cliché muy repetitivo, espero que en el siguiente libro eso cambie. Pero fuera de eso el libro es muy bueno y atrapante, pero lo que más me tiene picada es el final de cada libro en el que se habla de Lady Whisteldown, de quién sospecho no muy levemente de Violet, es imposible que no sea ella.
Bridgerton è come una droga e una volta che lo provi qualunque cosa è bella... un po come in questo caso. L'ispirazione a Cenerentola è chiara, palese e dichiarata ma forse un po forzata. Non che non ci stia in un contesto del genere ma ormai è così scontata come ispirazione che non sorprende o coinvolge come dovrebbe o potrebbe. Forse il personaggio di Benedict meritava di più che una "banale" ispirazione a Cenerentola.

3.5 stars. All becaue it was fun.This was a guilty pleasure read, I admit. I was looking for something simple to read that wouldn't take much focus or thinking. You can't expect any huge world building of course, but I suppose this one was a bit more eventful than the others. At least, they don't get caught and forced to get married like the previous two books.As much as I enjoyed reading the story, I can't ignore how arrogant and inconsiderate Benedict was. I could plainly see Quinn's efforts at trying to sell him as a likable character with that "lopsided smile" but truth be told he was an inconsiderate entitled rich boy who had no idea of the toils of the working class and that was NOT sexy however I tried to look at it.حالا فارسی:۳.۵ ستاره. و شرمندهم که اعتراف میکنم اینو خوندم. ولی حال داد.در این کتاب به جریان دامادی برادر دوم بریجرتونها بندیکت پرداخته میشه و شاهد یه ریتلینگ سیندرلا هستیم. ولی سیندرلا کمی دست بزن داره. شاید همین باعث شد خوندن کتابو تموم کنم. اگه سیندرلا حتی یه ذره مارشملوتر از این بود شاید داستان حالمو بهم میزد.من دو کتاب اول رو نخوندم ولی احتمال میدم توی اونها هم دختر داستان عاقل و اخلاق مدار و پسر داستان یه شوت به تمام معنا با کلی مشکلات روحی روانی و نیازمند تراپیست بوده باشه. بندیکت نیازی به تراپیست نداشت شکر خدا، ولی به نظرم دیدگاه بسیار سطحی و خودبرتربینانهای نسبت به طبقهی کارگر داشت. و به هم رسیدن زوج داستان تنها ناشی از معجزهی تخیل نویسنده بود.برای این کتاب نقد خاصی نمیشه نوشت و در حد یه خوانش برای روزای پر استرسه.
