I read this with my daughter. Considering this is a screenplay, it was easy to keep up with what was going on and to picture it as you would any story. I'm really enjoying reading about the years long before Harry Potter came to Hogwarts.
Bah voilà le film n'était pas un chef-d'œuvre mais on adore aller dans l'univers d'harry potter.
This was fun to read but it definitely got hard to sit still after reading more than like six or so beast.
Lectura (y relectura) casi obligatoria. Todas las criaturas magicas en un solo libro (excepto algunas de las pelis de Animales Fantásticos y Dónde Encontrarlos). Y el detalle de las anotaciones manuscritas le da un plus muy tierno.
This book is very interesting and imaginative. A great book for people who have or haven't read Harry Potter, a more grown up world of Harry Potter. Suitable for all readers, if younger than 6 may want an adult or comfort in case of some scenes scaring or worrying them.
Original Rating: 4 / 5Reread Rating: 2 / 5Okay so. I liked this book when I was younger. This was a wonderful expansion on the world of Harry Potter, and it's definitely great for those who love Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. However, reading it again now, when I haven't been enraptured by Harry Potter for years... it just fell short. The information wasn't great. There's all these beasts we have never seen or heard of before, and although inventive, it was just boring reading about them. The ones we have heard of before, it was great reading about them and understanding the ones we've seen on screen / read about. Harry and Ron's scribbles in the book were just. Boring. They didn't make me laugh and were actually really distracting from the book contents itself. It could have done without, or made them funnier. A lot more could have been done with this to make it a more enjoyable read for people that aren't 100% avid Harry Potter fans. It's a shame. I loved this growing up. It's a shame to rate it so low now.
