El libro debería llamarse "Harry Potter y su obsesión con Draco Malfoy"

October 3rd 2026

The war against Voldemort is not going well; even the Muggles have been affected. Dumbledore is absent from Hogwarts for long stretches of time, and the Order of the Phoenix has already suffered losses. And yet . . . as with all wars, life goes on. Sixth-year students learn to Apparate. Teenagers flirt and fight and fall in love. Harry receives some extraordinary help in Potions from the mysterious Half-Blood Prince. And with Dumbledore's guidance, he seeks out the full, complex story of the boy who became Lord Voldemort -- and thus finds what may be his only vulnerability.

The plot definitely gets more tense and serious in this book. I didn't rate higher because I didn't feel any strong or deep emotions while reading? For some reason, Dumbledore's death didn't have as much of an impact on me as Sirius's death did. I did feel quite giddy when Harry and Ginny finally got together but other than that, a tiny bit of rage for Snape? I am super ecstatic for the final book though, I have a feeling I'll cry more because of that. I'm not ready to leave this series, I feel nostalgia for Hogwarts as though I'm growing up there. Overall, this book explained more on the plot which I like alot anyways. Dumbledih got slimed out ✌️😭.

I always love reading these books. I might have my own personal thoughts and dislikes about the author, but I can't really say a bad word about the world she created. Age does not matter in this, I started this series when I was just a child, single digits. And here I am, mid-twenties and still enjoying them just as much, if not more. Every time I read them, there's always something I either forgot or missed all the other times. The only thing I wish would be to read them for the first time all over again.

[Spoiler Free Review]This book was so tense and amazing and though it's not in my top 3 it's still a great entry. The scene between Harry and Dumbledore when Dumbledore had to drink the potion for the locket nearly brought me to tears, it was gut wrenching. Even better than in the movies.

I'm not going to even tell you how long or how many times I cried when Dumbledore died. I'm also not even gonna go in on how many times I imagined Snape's story throughout the book. On the not so good side I'm not gonna lie I found myself zoning out during some earlier chapters. Like seriously, harry was aggravating and annoying during this book. Oh but ginny and Harry's story line I absolutely loved. Overall this unfortunately was a slow start for me and I had a hard time concentrating sometimes.

I loved how this book balanced everyday Hogwarts life with the growing darkness hanging over everything. One moment I was enjoying the school drama, and the next I was frantically turning pages because I needed to know what Malfoy was doing. What really stood out to me was how much more mature and emotional this book felt. The stakes were higher, the secrets were bigger, and it felt like the characters were growing up right alongside me.And Snape... oh, Snape. Every chapter left me questioning everything. I never knew whether to trust him, hate him, or feel sorry for him. The man kept me stressed the entire book. 😭
