Reviews

I stayed up until 1:40 am to finish this book and I'm so glad I did. This book was so sweet, sexy, funny, and also sad at times. It is truly what love is.

picked this up because (1) i needed a palate cleanser, (2) it was on my physical tbr, and (3) it’d finish out a series .... then i proceeded to sit down and devour it in the matter of a few hours?nadia and griffin aren’t my favorite elsie silver couple, but i did really like them!! they both have such dark pasts and have gone through massive struggles and just the way they understand each other and are so patient with one another made them such a perfect fit together. w that being said, i do wish we would’ve explored those struggles a bit more, i feel like it was all a little glossed over and had potential to make these two into suchhh complex and perfectly imperfect characters.i didn’t like the third act break up, which is a common experience for me with elsie’s books. having read every single one of them, i can say that all but one or two have had a third act conflict that i find completely unnecessary and that tends to annoy me. howeverrrr in this it at least served to show the characters’ growth and actually lasted longer than two seconds over some trivial issue so there’s that at least?anyways, currently feeling so bittersweet that i’ve read all of her books (except the novella in this series) because no, they’re not groundbreaking, but they’re my go-to easy reads and help what do i do now!!! see you in september, wild card (which is another age gap YES PLEASE) 🙂‍↕️🫶🏼
