Key poetry, schizophrenia, spirituality Description A Many Threaded Tapestry is a book of spiritual poems representing the whole spectrum of emotions and a vast range of moods and feelings - from witty through love to bitterness and paranoia. These twenty-two poems, written between 1978 and 2000, span and document the author's adult life. This is a heart rendering and ameotional account of Simon's life. About the Author As well as being leading author in the field of mental health and spirituality, Simon is also a Cambridge physicist and computer scientist. Book Extract STATUES (August 1978) Time's numb fingers, dead with cold
slowly cross the page.
The crumbling mould grows, but side to side,
the pages fade as it writes.
The silver filigree is eroded,
the wave freezes in its fall.
The varnish peels and all is still
as another silent earthquake echoes.
The growing statue moans
at its maker's sure touch.
The stone hears the call;
tries to match, but fails.
Two figures in a landscape but only one knows the secret.
As he tells the other so softly
only the wind catches the words.
