Scene: Described well, I enjoyed the setting and it was well worded but not too over complicated. A handful of places put simply, so we can concentrate on the story and characters. Standard Freida. ****
Characters: I didn't actually enjoy the temperamental characters in this, I know there's a grey area in terms of good/bad, but this was just hard to believe. ***
Story: The ending? Liked the bother part, yes. The woman getting her way? Not reporting her? Hell no - I know its not always a happy ending, but there was a twist begging to happen there ***
Recommend?: I would recommend other Freida's first, probably not this one.
I loved it! It totally met — and even exceeded — my expectations. This book was SO tense, I was nervous the whole time reading it ‘cause the atmosphere was honestly terrifying, at least for me. I really liked the characters too. The plot itself felt kinda insignificant, but I didn’t even care — I was way more focused on the story as a whole, and that part was just perfect.
The characters were sorta flat and the story lacked a little bit of tension. but I like the plot of it and it had the potential to be something great. It was good but could've been better.

I like the fast pace I wish it was a little more chaos earlier on, and I wish Tegan wasn't so trusting so easily. I like the way she writes these and how she makes sure to keep you wanting more. The twist was a little predictable but the end kinda made me happy except a small detail.
Another Freida McFadden banger. This book had me stressing, but I'm happy about the ending this time.

The Crash by Frieda McFadden is a thriller that leans heavily on the miscommunication trope—so much so that it feels like the entire plot hinges on it. While the book certainly took me on an emotional rollercoaster (mainly consisting of WTF moments, frustration, and outright annoyance), the biggest twist for me wasn’t even the mystery itself but rather the clean bill of mental health from a therapist at the end.The pacing dragged at times, especially with multiple POVs rehashing the same information/thoughts repeatedly. I also found a lot of the plot’s progression relied on characters making bafflingly poor choices—classic no-self-preservation moves like venturing out into a storm at night when waiting until morning would have made way more sense. The twists, while engaging at points, were often predictable, and I could see many reveals coming from a mile away.That being said, McFadden knows how to keep a reader turning pages, and despite my frustrations, I still found myself invested. If you enjoy thrillers with unreliable narrators, dramatic reveals, and don’t mind some repetitive storytelling, The Crash might still be worth the read.
You knew what was happening the whole time and I feel like the "twist" was an afterthought 😭

This is definitely the best Freida book I've read. The others are lackluster. It does drag a bit in the middle but I didn't mind it too much. I liked the way the characters were conflicted with each other and misunderstood things.
