Description

In the distant future, the intelligent species of the universe form a thriving alliance. Remains of the once-glorious human race now live like animals as a protected species, their history lost in the misty depths of time and legend.

Carel, a member of an alien species, is mandated with ensuring compliance with the laws for the protection of humankind on the distant planet of Achelo. She begins her work for the Alliance, but she quickly wakes to the dark reality: the real objectives of her enigmatic employer are unclear, and it is not the human race that needs protection. Following the twisted events, a civil war unfolds, threatening to destroy law and order. Amidst the chaos, a bizarre sect and a long-lost military force step onto the scene to foment the coming apocalypse. Their prophecy is about to be realized when giant space fleets stand poised against one another in deep space, marching though the cosmos, destroying everything in their path. The Alliance is doomed to fall into ruins.

Only one chance remains for Carel to prevent the destruction of her world: she must reveal the hidden truth about the history of her own civilization and that of humankind so she can discover the path toward a perfect society.

A multi-threaded, exciting, yet thought-provoking novel recommended for those who take delight in delving into elaborate worlds, futures, and the never-ending evolution of society.
