All the Sinners Bleed was a really well written crime thriller with a strong emotional core. Titus Crown was easily the best part of the book. His relationships, his grief, and his determination to solve the murders gave the story a lot more depth than just being a standard thriller.Even though there wasn’t constant action, the pacing kept me engaged the entire time and I never really felt bored reading it. The small town atmosphere and heavy themes were handled well, but this is definitely a book I’d only recommend to readers who are comfortable with dark subject matter involving racial inequality and child danger. My biggest issue was the reveal of the killer. I was hoping for a harder hitting twist emotionally, and the ending didn’t fully land the way I wanted it to. Still, the overall journey with Titus and the premise of the story outweighed that weakness for me.Overall, a very strong first crime thriller experience for me and a book that showed how powerful character work can elevate a mystery story.
