Description

In a world where desire intertwines with sacred vows, the narrative captivates readers with its bold exploration of love, faith, and longing. It follows a protagonist torn between the responsibilities of their calling and the undeniable pull of attraction. As the story unfolds, the characters navigate the complexities of their emotions, facing external and internal conflicts that challenge their beliefs and roles.

The backdrop of a tightly-knit community adds depth to the unfolding romance, with rich descriptions of both serene landscapes and tumultuous inner battles. The tension escalates as the protagonist grapples with their identity, seeking solace while also yearning for something more profound than mere duty.

With an engaging storyline, Lydia Michaels crafts a compelling tale that not only ignites passion but also questions the nature of commitment and the essence of love. Through rich character development, readers are invited to reflect on their values, making this a poignant read that resonates deeply.

Honestly, I am normally not a fan of books where priests fall in love. I get that the angst is good, but sometimes it's hard to relate to. This book was pretty steamy, and the angst of if the family would catch on was pretty good. I was mad at both of the lead characters, though. Sam bothered me because even though she didn't lead Brayden on, she didn't tell him they weren't dating and don't get me started on Colin. It was a good book but definitely had its bumps in the road.
