Description

Set on a remote island, a group of ten strangers gathers for what seems to be a vacation retreat, only to find themselves ensnared in a dark and deadly game of fate. Each guest, harboring secrets from their past, faces the terror of being judged and punished. As the days unfold, an unseen hand begins to methodically eliminate them one by one, leaving confusion and paranoia in its wake. The isolated setting heightens the tension, creating an atmosphere thick with suspicion and impending doom.

As panic ensues and alliances shift, the characters grapple with their past misdeeds and the invisible thread that ties them together. Christie’s deft storytelling reveals the intricacies of human nature, unveiling the fragile line between morality and guilt. With each twist, the audience is drawn deeper into the mystery, pondering the identity of the murderer lurking among them.

Amidst the growing sense of dread, the characters must confront not only their imminent demise but also their own culpability. In this gripping tale of suspense, Agatha Christie crafts a masterful reflection on justice, retribution, and the complexities of the human psyche, keeping readers guessing until the very last moment.

No Poirot No Miss Marple No Tommy and Tuppence! Outside her 'meat and two veg' detectives AC struggles badly . None.. very much labours under the burden of being too smart for its own good. Did I like it? No but I was expecting something wonderful and disappointment reigns. Someone out there please tell me this review is wrong.

Let me just say that this was a great mystery, I had no idea what the hell was happening or who was responsible. When the cops finally appeared, I thought the book was going to end right there and I'd be left in the dark, utterly confused as to what had happened. Thankfully, it was explained quite nicely and everything started to make sense.I'd say this was worth the three week hold I had to place on this just to listen haha
