Description

Alluring, charming and beautiful as ever, Angelique and her adored husband, Joffrey de Peyrac, are bound for Quebec, far away from their enemy, the King of France. 'Crammed with every succulent ingredient known to the recipe book of historical-romantic fiction...an historical tale of seventeenth-century adventure which Dumas might have written.' Translated from the French by Marguerite Barnett.
This scarce edition was the last of the Angélique books to be translated into English, although its slim size in comparison with previous novels hints at incompleteness. This was proven to be the case by the publication (in French language only) of Angélique à Quebec, the full version of the story of which Angélique and the Ghosts was intended to be the First Part of the English translation. We await developments...
Hardback in blue cloth, gilt, pp332.
Sergeanne Golon was the pseudonym of husband and wife writing duo Serge Golon and Anne Golon, although in fact Serge, the historical researcher of the partnership, died as this book was being written.
