Description
The Friends of the Library have provided the library with a bookmobile, audio visual equipment, and publicity but what Hilton, Georgia, population 70,000, really needs is a new library. Anne Fuller, the new assistant librarian, finds herself taking a very active part in the struggle to convince the city council to float a bond issue for a new building. The person who could tilt the scales in the library's favor is William Wyman, the rich uncle of Anne's fiance, Don Wyman. But Anne has a strategy to win over Uncle Bill and make use of him when the library is threatened.
