Description

In this post-apocalytpic sci-fi story, humanity has been devastated by the bizarre, giant humanoids known as the Titans. Little is known about where they came from or why they are bent on consuming mankind. Seemingly unintelligent, they have roamed the world for years, killing everyone they see. For the past century, what's left of man has hidden in a giant, three-walled city. People believe their 100-meter-high walls will protect them from the Titans, but the sudden appearance of an immense Titan is about to change everything. Winner of the 2011 Kodansha Manga Award (Shonen) and nominated for the prestigious Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize for 2012.

★★★★½

Yeah... this was brutal.

The first volume really wastes no time showing you that nobody is safe. Eren is already annoying as hell but I kind of get him because this man has spent his entire childhood wanting freedom just to watch his entire world get destroyed in about five minutes.

Mikasa is THAT girl though. The way she handles herself compared to everyone else? Yeah.

The artwork is rougher than the anime, but honestly I like how ugly and unsettling the Titans look. They don't even look scary in a normal way. They look WRONG.

And then that ending???

Yeah, I'm reading the next volume immediately.

loved the anime so far so i decided to check out the manga & i have no complaints other than the fact that they cut out all their time at training but maybe they’ll revisit it later
