This volume hurt.
The Female Titan arc is genuinely one of the first times where I felt like Attack on Titan was playing a completely different game from other shonen manga. There is so much strategy, deception and psychological manipulation happening underneath all the fighting.
Levi's squad especially broke my heart. I barely had time to get attached before everything went to hell.
And Eren having to make decisions that could literally get everyone killed??? The pressure on this boy is insane.
The Female Titan is also terrifying because she's not just strong. She's SMART.
This was the volume where I stopped reading this as just an action series and started realizing that Isayama is probably going to emotionally ruin me.
