When Peter’s parents are killed, he is sent to an orphanage in Warsaw. Peter is ‘volkdeutsche’ – of German blood. With his blond hair and blue eyes he is a perfect Hitler Youth specimen, and Professor Kaltenbach and his wife are thrilled to welcome such a fine Aryan specimen to their household. But Peter is not who they think. He is forming his own ideas. Peter is going to take a risk – the most dangerous risk he could possibly take in Berlin in 1942...
