Description

What a powerful, heartbreaking, and beautifully written story. I picked up The Tattooist of Auschwitz after hearing about the upcoming TV series, and I was truly moved by Lale and Gita’s journey. It’s hard to comprehend what life must have been like in Auschwitz, and reading from their perspective adds such a deep and personal insight.Knowing how history unfolded, yet reading how they felt trapped, believing it would never end, gave me a new perspective on the horrors of that time. This book captures the resilience, hope, and humanity that somehow survived in the face of unimaginable suffering.A truly moving read that I’ll be thinking about for a long time.

This is not a bad books at all. I enjoyed the characters and the writing style but it was much more of a historical romance than a tale of the Holocaust. Auschwitz felt like a backdrop than the premise of the book, which was really disappointing.

This book gave me the feels. It was hard to read just due to what they experienced but a great read.
