I enjoyed Everley’s story, and the overall plot of the book. There was a lot about this story that made it intriguing and a bit different, from Everley’s clockwork heart, different divinities such as Father Time, an expedition to a new and dangerous world, and tales of revenge. I also like the romance, and I like that it is a bit of a slow burn, and while a part of the story is not a main theme. I look forward to continuing Everley’s story and seeing where the sea takes her and the rest of the now pirate crew.
