View AllI do love the Scotland Street books and always hope there's a new one out just as I am about to go on holiday so I can take it with me. As usual this was amusing, though perhaps slightly less so than some others in the series. I love the way the author goes off on a quick tangent in the middle of a storyline. Throughout the whole series I have always looked forward most to Bertie's stories and less so to Pat's and Domenica's but this time I felt myself wanting to know more about Domenica which was a pleasant surprise. As much as I love the Bertie stories, it feels like the series realises he's the main draw and is mainly focused on him which means we learn less about other characters and therefore are less interested in them as a result. I hope the inches given to each character can stay as even as possible.
