View AllInteresting world-building and culture; I'd be interested in exploring more of it. The protagonist's love and support for his wife with severe depression was a bit of comfort in a bleak and strange setting.Towards the end of the story, it felt more like a series of vignettes due to the overuse of section dividers—sometimes between each paragraph. Writing was alright. Could use another pass from a proofreader.
