Description

In the tumultuous landscape of Oxford in 2060, time travel has become an everyday practice for historians eager to absorb the rich tapestry of the past. Amongst the chaos, these historians navigate the dangers and thrills of time travel, specifically focusing on significant events in history. The blend of technology and historical curiosity in this future setting introduces a unique dynamic, where the past is both a subject of study and a field of peril.

As the narrative unfolds, the characters grapple with the unpredictable consequences of their journeys. Each time-travel mission bears the potential for disaster, intertwining personal stories with larger historical narratives. The gripping exploration of time, memory, and the weight of history evokes a compelling sense of urgency, challenging the characters to confront the very fabric of their reality as they strive to piece together the truth amid the shadows of the past.

Loved it loved it loved it. Did I save I loved it?Time travel and WWII. Fab-u-lous. It had me gripped right from the outset. The scenes set in WWII brought the whole era and events to life. Clearly a lot of research had gone into the era particularly in terms of how people behaved. The Blitz was not a period I had learnt about in much detail but it vividly brought to life what it was like for people in London especially.Shame that book itself had no real ending instead runs straight to the next book [b:All Clear (All Clear, #2)|7519231|All Clear (All Clear, #2) (Oxford Time Travel, #4)|Connie Willis|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1320549311s/7519231.jpg|9735628]which I am downloading immediately!
