Mixed feeligs on this one. I don't think it portrayed mental health very well and it was a slower read (for me). Didn't quite keep me on the edge of my seat like some of her other books.
Most of her novel yg ni best skitX expect dia akan turn out like that n fast paced of course sbb dia mcm ada masa 12 jam ja utk semua ni berlakuMmg gempak kalau aq xtanya chatgpt for spoiler tp aq mcm boleh agak dah mula2 dari dia dok sebut dia minum ayaq tea tu dah boleh agak ayaq tea tu punca dia halusinasi tp turn out dia mmg gilerrHek hek hek
6/10 ⭐Максимально передбачувана історія. Тому як на мене одна із найслабших її книг. Десь на рівні "Ніколи не бреши" так само передбачувано і досить не логічно.
Scene: Described well, I enjoyed the setting and it was well worded but not too over complicated. A handful of places put simply, so we can concentrate on the story and characters. Standard Freida. ****
Characters: Unreliable, messy, complicated and so real. I love the different narratives, this is so realistic. *****
Story: Being gaslit by Freida McFadden might be my new favourite pass time. *****
Recommend?: Yes, Freida all day! My favourite Freida to date.
Honestly, I was super stoked to dive into this book, but it's safe to say I didn't quite join the fan club that's raving about it. For most of the book, I felt like I was stuck in a maze with no exit – like 85% of it just didn't click for me. And when the big twist finally rolled around, I was just over it and ready to move on. It didn't have the impact I was hoping for, and that's a bummer.
it was really good. the ending was a bit meh but the twist were good. i could expect alot of them but there were a few that caught me of guard. i still love her writing and her books.5⭐️

3-3.5☆I usually love Freida McFadden books. They are easy, fast-paced reads. This one, though, just didn't quite hit the mark. While it was still an easy, fast-paced read, I found a few things niggled at me a bit too much. Unfortunately, the FMC Amy seemed to annoy me more and more as the book went on. I get she dreaded the shift and was obviously right to, in the end. However, why go against the 'senior Dr's' orders? Why cause another power outage when you believe the last one caused so much trouble. You are told you're dealing with a patient with schizophrenia but choose to believe him over the staff, (again I'm aware he was telling the truth, but still). It's like the horror movie thing where you know the MC shouldn't do something, but they do it anyway!I also felt it didn't really take the mental illnesses referenced, particularly seriously. Both trainees have an unprofessional attitude towards the characters on the ward, to the point I felt they made a joke of it. Certainly not the attitude you would expect from third year medical students. Maybe I shouldn't have thought too much about it and just enjoyed the book for the quick, easy thriller it was. If I had, I would then have scored the 3.5☆.
GoodIt definitely had a twist. It was good in my opinion but I’m a hard sell. I will DNF a book. I didn’t this one.
very disappointed in this book ngli knew going in that the mental illness representation was awful but i read it anyway cus i thought it would at least be a good thriller and it wasn't even thatfor some of the twists she kind of gave herself away like 20 pages before they were comingthe "reveals" were underwhelming ngl and one of the bits felt like when the villains in movies reveal their "master plans" and not in a good wayi honestly wanted the reveal to he creepieri liked the kind of we don't know who to trust energyi felt like she could have explained the reveals betteri think i need to take a break from freida books cus the reveals just aren't shocking anymorethe last twist in the epilogue didn't shock me and honestly didn't make sensethis one just didn't grip me or hit as hard as her other ones have
