2.75 🌟I think I'm not a emily henry person It toook me forever to finish this book Everything about it was good but it didn't clicked I think it's the writing style I like it more that beach read though .
📘4.3 stars📘When I first read the blurb, it didn't really sound that interesting to me. The plot wasn't that original. And even when I first started reading, it seemed very dull. But within the first few chapters, I was already hooked. I like Emily Henry's books, but this is my favourite.🫰I loved the romance (obviously). Their dynamic was so cute and the banter was ON POINT.👍Emily Henry's writing is amazing -- the pace is on point, the metaphors are beautiful and there's so many references and humorous moments that I loved.👍The main characters are all super complex and relatable. They all have their own strengths and flaws and morals and backstories, so seeing how they interact with each other was interesting. 👍The scene where they made out and then decided it was a mistake was so cute and funny.👎Their conflict/third-act break-up was slightly irritating to read, and felt kind of unnatural.

✨️Audiobook review✨️ Book Lovers by Emily Henry ⭐️⭐️⭐️Enemies to lovers, business rivals. It felt like a pretty average story, dont get me wrong I enjoyed it but I personally didn't find it that exciting.I'm aware there's a lot of Emily Henry fans out there who will disagree with my opinion, but that's okay. The narration was okay, not monotone or dull, generally pretty easy to listen to and the story was easy to follow too. I liked the relationship the sisters had, it felt like something relatable in the book which always helps. All in all a pretty standard rating from me for a romcom.
This was a very fun read! I loved the dialogue between the two main characters. I found myself laughing out loud several times.

The backstory of their initial encounter, marked by a brief period of unkindness followed by five years of silence, does not convincingly lay the groundwork for a competitive dynamic. Instead, it feels more like a contrived setup for romantic tension rather than a genuine rivalry that would warrant such a passionate turn.Moreover, the characterization of Nora as a formidable figure within the industry, often referred to as “the devil,” lacks depth and clarity. While the narrative informs us of her fearsome reputation, it fails to provide tangible evidence of this persona through her actions or interactions. Instead, Nora comes across as quite amiable, particularly in her dealings with clients, which contradicts the ominous portrayal suggested by others. This dissonance between what we are told and what we observe diminishes the impact of her character and leaves readers yearning for a more nuanced exploration of her complexities. The author’s choice to create a character embodying this harsh reputation, yet not showcasing it within the story, ultimately detracts from the overall narrative coherence.Libby, Nora’s sister, is quite the character, and not in a charming way. Her attempts at being supportive come off as more of a burden than a blessing. Instead of offering genuine encouragement, she resorts to guilt-tripping Nora into taking a holiday that she clearly does not want. The audacity of Libby to suggest that Nora abandon her responsibilities for three weeks, leaving her clients to fend for themselves, is nothing short of astonishing. One must consider the implications of such a decision; Nora’s most significant client, who experiences considerable anxiety during the writing process, relies heavily on her expertise. By prioritizing her own desire for quality time over her sister’s professional obligations, Libby jeopardizes not only Nora’s career but also the financial stability of the company. this book was literally everything and the fact it ended is part of the reason i am uncontrollably sobbing right now.the other part is all charlienora.
This book is phenomenal.It made me cry so hard I had to put it down to sob. But not for too long as I had to know what happened next. It's beautifully written, the characters are hilarious and relatable and I wish I could meet them and be part of their family. This was one of my favorite books I've read in a while. It's a contemporary romance but it's equally a book about sisters and honestly so much more. It is a story about book lovers made for book lovers. This will be a comfort re-read for sure.
