Description

Susannah Ramos has a deep, unyielding connection to the water that has defined her life and ambitions. From an early age, her swimming prowess catapulted her into the world of elite competition, earning her the title of world champion. However, her journey is not just about glory; it is also marked by personal struggles that intertwine with her passion for the sport.

As Susannah navigates the complexities of her career and the expectations placed upon her, the water becomes both her sanctuary and her battleground. It reflects her triumphs, fears, and the weight of her aspirations. Each stroke in the pool mirrors her inner turmoil and quest for self-identity, leading her to question what it truly means to be a champion.

Facing challenges that push her to the edge, Susannah's story unfolds with emotional depth and resilience. Through her experiences, she learns that the path to greatness is not just about medals, but about finding peace within herself amidst the waves of life. Her relationship with water evolves from mere competition to a profound exploration of who she is beyond the sport.

I like this book a lot. Everything seems natural, the story is relatable and the characters are not perfect yet they are still likable. I also like how the plot revolves around swimming olympic which I find interesting because I used to swim a lot when I was in high school, so I can relate to the character when your body is different when you started to grow up and sometimes it feels heavier. This book also talks a lot about mental disorder and how they encourage going to therapist when you need one. Overall, nice book!
