In this relentless landscape, he crosses paths with a fierce and capable woman who challenges everything he believes about love and dominance. Their fiery encounters reveal a complex dance of desire and danger, where every glance holds potential for both passion and destruction. As grudges surface and old rivalries reignite, Callum must decide where his heart belongs, while grappling with the legacy of a life that demands sacrifices. The stakes are high, and the price of love may be more than he ever anticipated.

Closer to 3.5This series has been sat on my shelf for so long it was about time I started it lolI have loved everything I have read of Sophie Larks so I had high hopes for this book. Now while my rating may seem low its not lower than her other books because its bad. It is lower because there was just a few things I would have liked a little different. That is just personal preference though.SO like I think one of the plot points was dealt with off page and it was built up as the big bad t e worried about and it was resolved in a way that had me thinking "is that it? It also took me a little while to warm up to Aida. I felt like she was a little bratty in the beginning and didn't fully understand that most of what happened stemmed from her own actions. Also the situation with Oliver could have been dealt with before it got to that point if both Cal and Aida communicated about what they both thought and the situations involving him.Other than those couple of things I did find this book fun and easy to read and I am looking forward to the rest of the series, especially Nero's book.If you want a mafia book that has humour, action, spice and a bit of an attitude with an easy plot to follow I would recommend this.

While this was an easy, engaging read, I couldn't help but feel underwhelmed. The story follows Aida, the youngest child of the Gallo family, and Callum, the heir to the Irish mafia, as they're set up in an arranged marriage. The chemistry between them is undeniable, but their interactions often left me gagging, and Aida's behavior gave me second-hand embarrassment. The writing style feels somewhat juvenile, particularly in the dialogue, which lacked substance and depth. Despite this, Aida's spunky attitude and determination are admirable. Overall, it was an entertaining read, but not without its flaws.

It's super cute. Could have been a bit slower in the get together but I enjoyed it either way
