Description

Hygiene Form

All our patients had a hygiene Form. The Form was filled in at our Nursing Home by the senior nurse on admission. This was altered as necessary as changes occurred.
All our patients were allocated their own special nurse whose job it was to note any changes in skin condition as skincare took place. If redness or a break in the skin was noted the pressure sore form was filled in and the condition reported to the senior nurse in charge. Infections on the skin were noted, rashes, spots or boils. Recent surgery and condition or healing was noted.
Type of soap needed, often baby soap was needed as skin became frail.
Bathing was a good time to check on skin condition, nails, ears and hair. Men were offered help with shaving.
