I could not get into it for like, the first 2/3 of this book. There were a bunch of scenes describing how John got into this situation and then what Mary and apparently every other person he's ever met were up to, and it really took me out of the story.Then it got <spoiler>really gay</spoiler> and brought my rating from a 2 to a 3. There's a specific element of the ending that I'm unsure if it is supposed to be open to interpretation or if I'm just not understanding it correctly, but overall I am glad I read this and will probably reread it again at a time when I'm more in the mood to digest this
