On October 1, 2014, the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Clinical Trials Network and Institute (CTNI) and the MGH Psychiatry Academy hosted a summit meeting in Silver Spring, Maryland, titled Cognition in What Do We Know? This educational program included participation of MGH CTNI faculty, academic clinical researchers, FDA staff and researchers from industry. The purpose of the meeting was to review and discuss the characteristics, impact, assessment and treatment of cognitive impairment in depression, as well as to examine the FDA’s process of evaluating applications for targeted drug indications.
