The plot takes place in the frigid north of Fargo, North Dakota. With Small time Police officers trying to handle unexplained murders in the small town. That is until the FBI intervenes with one of their most decorated, Agent Gibson, to try and catch a cold blooded killer. And no one would suspect who the killer could be until the cold reality lets them know that there is only one person left to blame for the murders!

This first book remains based in reality. The second novel adds a bit of supernatural to it. For in the second novel Lydia realizes someone has been watching her exploits. It introduces a second vampire in the second book! Is he a mere mortal? A mortal with a bloodlust like Lydia? Or is he the real thing? A real Vampire who can give Lydia an eternal life of blood?
