Description

Tiernan de Haas finds herself adrift in a world that once sparkled with promise. As the only child of a renowned film producer and a glamorous starlet, she is burdened by the weight of expectations and the inevitable glare of the spotlight. With her parents’ tumultuous relationship and the relentless pressures of Hollywood, Tiernan grapples with feelings of isolation and disillusionment, leaving her indifferent to the world around her.

As she navigates her way through a crisis of identity, Tiernan encounters a group of captivating individuals who ignite a flicker of hope within her. Together, they shake the foundation of her carefully constructed apathy, introducing her to experiences that challenge her perception of love, friendship, and loyalty. Each connection uncovers layers of her character, forcing her to confront the insecurities that have held her back.

However, with newfound freedom comes the danger of vulnerability. As Tiernan opens her heart, she discovers that the line between trust and betrayal can quickly blur, threatening to unravel her world. The exploration of passion, jealousy, and the complexities of human relationships weaves a compelling narrative that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.

Ultimately, Tiernan must confront her past and make choices that will shape her future. In a journey filled with emotional intensity, she learns that indifference may shield her from pain, but embracing life’s challenges is the only path to true fulfillment. Through unexpected twists and genuine connections, Tiernan embarks on a quest for self-discovery that resonates profoundly, leaving readers yearning for closure as they dive into her world.

I just, I don't know. In all honesty I struggled all through this book but I wanted to give it the benefit of a doubt because it's such a highly suggested book. But at 73% I gave up. I just, I couldn't torture my brain anymore.
