Crum Bums

In Crum Bums, Brian Ralph's follow-up to his critically-lauded Cave-In, humans and non-humans wander aimlessly through a post-apocalyptic landscape trying to make sense of their lives and their environment. With his characteristic visual poetry, humor, and sheer emotional power of his imagery, Ralph slowly reveals the mechanisms of his familiar, yet alien, fifth world. Monkeys and cavemen live together, time travel is mundane, punks hate harmonica players, and, somehow, this all makes perfect sense in the hands of Brian Ralph. He currently has a continuing comic strip called The Legend of Giant Robot running in the popular Asian culture magazine, Giant Robot.
