Das TEK-Kartell

Ex-cop and ex-con Jake Cardigan is back in action. But this time the task seems to be a bit too big for him: He is to solve the murder of a drug investigator who was killed by a »zombie«, a programmed android. Cardigan gropes from one trap to the next in his investigations, because behind the murder is not just any dealer, but the whole cartel, which wants to seize power with its insidious computer drug Tek. And to do this, the ruthless drug lords will use any means possible... even a synthetic plague that can wipe out an entire city.

Jake Cardigan, seines Zeichens Ex-Cop und Ex-Sträfling, ist wieder in Aktion. Doch diesmal scheint die Aufgabe eine Nummer zu groß für ihn zu sein: Er soll den Mord an einem Drogenfahnder aufklären, der von einem »Zombie« einem programmierten Androiden, umgebracht worden ist. Cardigan tappt bei seinen Ermittlungen von einer Falle in die nächste, denn hinter dem Mord steckt nicht irgendein Dealer, sondern das ganze Kartell, das mit seiner heimtückischen Computerdroge Tek die Macht an sich reißen will. Und dazu ist den skrupellosen Drogenbossen jedes Mittel recht ... selbst eine synthetische Pest, die eine ganze Stadt ausrotten kann.
