Description

3.5 After reading Nightshade I was looking forward to the story picking up from where we left off and pick up in pace now we have more of the story to go off from.While it did pick up from where the story left off, the pacing felt like it slowed down and there was unnecessary drama that could have been avoided and focused on the plot points revealed in book one.The situation between Alex and Ophelia and Alex was dragged out for too long in my opinion which resulted in the end of the book feeling rushed and lacking in detail.What stood out for me in this book was the portrayal of Alex' depression. That was well done and felt really realistic. I related to so many of his thoughts and that was one of the saving graces of this book. Along with Vincenzo and Belladonna, who were just as great in this book as the first.
3.25⭐I found myself a little bored in the 2nd half. The mystery element definitely was not as strong as the first book. Also they got back together really quick in my opinion.For me, Belladonna and Fleur carried they are my favs
