Description

In a world where dreams blur the line between reality and nightmare, a haunting presence shadows her every step. Struggling to escape the grip of her past, she navigates through a landscape of both eerie visions and unsettling memories. Each night, the boundaries of her subconscious become increasingly perilous, as nightmares manifest into her waking life.

K.J. Sutton weaves a gripping tale that delves into the psyche’s darkest corners. With each turn of the page, the tension mounts as she confronts the manifestations of her fears. This story explores not only the fragility of the mind but also the resilience required to face one’s own deadly dreams. As the past closes in, will she find the strength to confront what haunts her, or will the weight of her memories consume her?

As much as I like the world of this series, I am starting to get a bit tired of Fortuna. There's a lot of focus on trauma, and while I appreciate that Fortuna has actually gone to a therapist this was not as big of a selling point for the series as I was led to believe it would be. I also feel like this book suffered from the same ending fatigue that The Return if the King film had. There were multiple times in the last ten chapters where it felt like this could be a good ending to the book.Again, I like the world, and I like the magic of the world. But there's some issues with the style and the characters.
