Description

Justyce's world is shattered when an encounter with the police leads to a tragedy that changes everything. Despite being a dedicated student and a caring friend, he finds himself grappling with the harsh realities of racial injustice and societal expectations. This profound exploration of identity and resilience forces him to confront the biases that permeate his life and community.

Through poignant letters addressed to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Justyce reflects on his experiences and seeks answers in a world that often feels unfair. As he navigates the complexities of friendship, family, and race, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery amid the turmoil surrounding him.

If it is possible to love a book dealing with these issues, then I loved this book! It is a quick read but brings up important issues like racial profiling, racial inequality, affirmative action, and legal injustice. Having the letters written to MLK mixed in with Justyce's story was a great combination. Definitely a must read!
