Being an officer of Moscow milice Anastazja Kamieńska, attractive and delicate woman, is unreplaceable in investigation where intuition and nonconventional methods are needed. This time investigation of murder of young, beautiful model working in one of the private companies turns unexpectedly when comes out the fact that the girl heard in the radio description of a painting, which was hunting her in nightmares since childhood. Major Kamieńska by accident comes across the book which has same painting on a cover. When she wants to go after it, another people are killed and someone powerful tries to make getting to the truth impossible. And it appeared that in circle closest to Anastazja is a traitor. Anastazja is also in danger.
