Description
A poisoner is loose in the North Yorkshire village of Titchlingley. The wealthy Moutjoy family are mourning three deaths in a fortnight. Detective Suprintendent Cawthorne arrives to find a cluster of untidy clues and incompatible facts. He tries to extract the truth but his questions don't produce the answers he wants - particularly about the wine cabinet.
