I thought this book was pretty good. It took me a long time to finally read it because I'm always leery about really mainstream books. I will admit it took me to tries to finish this book, and I didn't start enjoying it till about 250 pages in. After that, I had the book done in 2 days.
I liked this series but it was a bit too much spice for me and it takes time to get going. However, once it gets going, it's mostly really good.
Wow I can't fit all my thoughts in my this small box but I will start off by saying that I was logged out of goodreads while reading this book and its been a while since I read the book. But I know that the book was definite,y a start to reading dark romance fantasy books I am almost finished the second book and I can say the the first book is defiently better. I kind of git bored half way and convince my self to keep reading. I promised my self tobread the whole series .
Reread! Immersive reading experience.I just finished A Court of Thorns and Roses for the second time, but this time I decided to listen to the GraphicAudio alongside my reread—and that was honestly such a great decision. The first 60% of this book has always been a bit hard for me to get through, mostly because it’s essentially a retelling of Beauty and the Beast. But after that point, the real action finally begins. That said, I have to admit that with the GraphicAudio I didn’t feel bored for a single moment. It is incredibly well produced and really brings the story to life.I also noticed so many more details this time around compared to my first read. In the three years since I last read this book, I feel like I’ve grown a lot as a fantasy reader, and that definitely changed how I experienced the story.Even with the slower first part, this book is still incredibly beautiful and memorable. I honestly expected to rate it lower on a reread, but it still lives rent-free in my head and I always look forward to returning to this world. So I’m sticking with my 5 stars.
Edit to Add: This book was everything I need to get back into reading. I wasn't very up to date with reviews so I'm adding them a little late. I loved the characters so much. The world building was enough to have me highly engaged at all times but low enough because I wasn't used to reading.Definitely a binge-worthy book.Loved this book. First proper series to read after not reading since highschool. I loves the pace and the world building. The plot twists were great. The ending had me turning every page with anticipation.
Was so weary of reading this book because of the amount of mixed reviews. But oh my !!! I loved it! There was even a stage a few tears had made an appearance. I cannot wait to start the next book. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would ☺️☺️
Nope, nope nope. Started good but I just felt uncomfortable with too many scenes
#bookstagrammademedoit #readitorlistit #acotar I finally picked this up and I'm like I kind of see of see why it's so popular, but it was such a slow start and took me some time to enjoy. I think about page 100 it got interesting. I definitely liked the ending. The character development was on point. I also can see why people compare this to beauty and the beast. It's the little things in this book that make it stand out. I loved how it was written and the descriptions of the characters. @therealsjmaas is an amazing author. I am truly excited to read the next books in the series when I get them. I still havent gotten why so many people love a certain character but that's why its 4 books not just 1. If you want to try out a book enjoy this one. #bookstagram #books #bookworm #bookstagrammademedoit #reading #acotar #beautyandthebeast #feyre #tamlin #rhys #lucien #acotar
I loved this book so much it really did make you want to read it in one sitting. I loved the characters and the storyline was so beauty and the beast but it was so good, it did take an unexpected turn which was really good.
Oh ACOTAR, how great you are at breaking reading slumps. reread - June 2025, still a 5 star read
Because your human joy fascinates me—the way you experience things, in your life span, so wildly and deeply and all at once, is … entrancing. I’m drawn to it, even when I know I shouldn’t be, even when I try not to be.” I love you,’ he whispered, and kissed my brow. ‘Thorns and all.”
