Eliot: Thoughts and Perspectives

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) was one of the great poets and critics of the twentieth century. He was also an opinionated social commentator who wrote about the ills of modern society. Many of his books offer a radical framework for a traditional English revival. A friend of both Ezra Pound and Wyndham Lewis, Eliot often used his poetic talent to expose the growing menace of international financial interests and for that he was wrongly accused of 'anti-Semitism'. This book explores the true side of Eliot's character and attempts to look at the real meaning behind his much-admired contribution to European literature.
