Emerald Wells Cafe

The year is 1955, the place is Emerald Wells, Texas just off the crossroads. Emerald Wells Café is where the people in the area meet. They are all friends, they grew up together and would do anything for each other and they do. They make the most of everything they have and they have plenty.

Em is the center of the Emerald Wells Café universe. She is the owner and waitress of the Café while her friend Earl is the cook.

Speakeasy Nights are the highlight of their social calendars. Over desserts and wine served in china tea cups the group of friends tell us their story through their poetry.
