Fairlyden At War

In 1930s Scotland men are desperate for work and thousands of farms lie derelict, but Fairlyden has survived thanks to Logan Fairly's skill and his wife's thriftiness. Their daughter Kirsty is fiercely proud of their achievements but her brother Luke has no interest in farming - and his fear of animals results in tragedy. As the Second World War breaks out, their long-time rivalry with the MacFarlanes of Nithanvale has to be forgotten as responsibility for Fairlyden is thrust upon Kirsty, and she summons all her determination to keep the farm that has been the pride of the Fairlys for generations.
