Description

In a heart-pounding narrative that weaves suspense and emotion, a dire situation unfolds when a flight attendant's life takes an unexpected turn. As the plane soars through the skies, secrets buried deep in the past begin to unravel, revealing a complex web of relationships and hidden truths. Every moment transforms into a race against time, as lives hang in the balance and the stakes skyrocket.

The protagonist, bound by duty and personal demons, finds herself at the center of a chilling conflict. Each turn of the page intensifies the uncertainty as she grapples with her responsibilities, the safety of the passengers, and the choices she must make to keep everyone alive. Panic, trust, and betrayal collide, asking the critical question: how far will one go to save those they love?

With sharp prose and gripping tension, the story invites readers into an immersive experience where courage is tested, and the human spirit is laid bare against the backdrop of fear and uncertainty. As the characters navigate their intertwined fates, the resolution becomes as unpredictable as the fate of the flight itself.

While action-packed and still tense, this one did not capture me immediately like Drowning did. Rather than having that “can’t put it down” feeling, I found myself not caring to pick it up and easily distracted when I did. I’m not really sure why. All the parts were there, they just weren’t working together for me. For as much action as there was, I was bored. I wanted to know how it would all work out in the end… but more like I wanted to just skip to the back of the book to find out. I did think the inclusion of real life world events was cool and made it feel more real and immersive and I think that it had some thought-provoking themes about racism/sterotyping and American privilege and ignorance/inaction. Not sure I would have regretted DNFing though.
