Festive in Death

Amid the brisk winter air of New York City, a chilling murder shocks the community. A fitness enthusiast is found with a knife driven deep into his chest, a scene made all the more sinister by the perplexing cardboard sign affixed to his body. The grisly tableau leaves the police and the public alike startled, especially as it unfolds during the festive season when cheer typically reigns.

As the investigation unfolds, Lieutenant Eve Dallas grapples not only with the complexity of the case but also with the sentiments surrounding the holidays. The victim’s connections unravel a web of jealousy and rivalry within the world of high-intensity fitness, each thread leading her closer to the truth lurking behind the glitzy facade.

Compounding her struggles is the contrast of her own life with the joyous celebrations around her. As Eve dives deeper into the fight for justice, the festive backdrop becomes both a contrast to the darkness of the crime and a reminder of what’s at stake.

With each turn, Eve confronts her own emotions, supported by her husband, Roarke, who adds both humor and heart amidst the tension. Navigating through the intersections of life and death, Eve must catch a killer before more festive spirits are extinguished.
