Tierra del Fuego is a collection of short stories by Chilean author Francisco Coloane about the rugged environs of the Chilean hinterlands. The book is comprised of grim and stunning tales told by prospectors, divers, ranchers and sailors of the isolated inlets and islands that make up Chile’s southern coast. Coloane contains echoes of many of the American greats such as Steinbeck, London, and Melville, but captures the voice and life of the Chilean frontier with a clear and formidable voice all his own.
