As a diehard Minneapolis Coyotes football fan, Duffy Distefano is distraught - and disgruntled - when she is booed out of a game thanks to a scuffle with the team mascot. Eager to clear the air, Duffy agrees to an interview, not expecting the Coyotes' star tight end to join her. Tasked with damage control to help his team out of their PR nightmare, MVP Connor Cunningham finds himself in a verbal sparring match with a wronged fan on live TV - colour him intrigued...and attracted. The public is obsessed with them and, in a PR opportunity too good to miss, Connor is pushed to ask Duffy out. The catch: Duffy doesn't know the date isn't real. But being with Duffy is easy and soon, it doesn't feel fake to either of them.
